What is DNA
LifePrint™?
DNA LifePrint™ was
developed in August 1998 as a DNA management kit and the
"fingerprint of the 21st century". It is a product that brings
leading edge DNA technology into the hands of lay people. Future
generations have a better chance for a full healthy life by
preserving their DNA ancestry in the DNA LifePrint™ Management kit
and it gives parents an infallible identification tool for their
children.

Why was DNA LifePrint™
developed?
DNA LifePrint™ was developed by Joe
Matthews a 30-year police veteran and former supervisor in charge of
the Miami Beach Homicide Division. After his lead detective work on
the nationally-publicized "Baby Lollipop" case and Adam Walsh case,
Matthews came to the realization that we are able to obtain an
entire history or track a stolen motor vehicle yet unable to
identify or trace a missing or abducted child. He also found that
fingerprints are often unreadable therefore unreliable as a mean of
identification. He then retired from Miami Beach Police and
dedicated his efforts to create DNA LifePrint™ Management Kit.

What other benefits are
there from DNA LifePrint™ besides identification purposes?
Every day there are more discoveries
of critical applications for DNA. Already physicians and scientist
are able to identify genetic patterns across generations in families
that have maintained a DNA sample to analyze. Identifying a mutated
gene may prevent diseases previously thought to be unpreventable.
Future generations have a better chance for a full healthy life by
preserving their DNA ancestry in the DNA LifePrint™ Management Kit.

What are parents'
greatest fears when it comes to their children?
Recent studies show that 87% of
parents polled indicated that their greatest single fear was that
their child would be reported missing for more that 24 hours.

Why do I need DNA
LifePrint?™
Last year the FBI reported over
950,000 missing person entries were made in the National Crime
Information Computer and that 80-90% of these entries were children
and adults stricken with Alzheimer's Disease or other disorienting
conditions. It often seems that as parents and care givers even
when we do everything in our power to protect against danger in our
world- we are often powerless. DNA LifePrint™ is an investigative
tool to assist authority's for the safe return of our loved ones.

What about my Childs
fingerprints/footprints that I received from the hospital when they were
born? Can't these be used as means of identification?
The footprints of a child taken at
birth are of no values for identification purposes. Not only
because they are unreadable but the foot print of the child changes
as the child develops. In a recent study as much as 80% of
children's fingerprints taken at fairs, malls and by parents are not
legible enough for identification purposes. And as much as 30 % of
our armed forces fingerprints are not legible for identification.

Who are DNA LifePrint™
key personnel?
Joe Matthews, President and CEO is
the founding father of DNA LifePrint™. John Walsh is host of
America's Most Wanted, Fox Televisions most successful and longest
running show. Since a personal tragedy invaded John's life, he has
been a tireless child advocate and crime fighter. DNA LifePrint™ is
the only commercial product he endorses. Dr. Karl Muench is a
Professor of Medicine and the Chief of the Division of Genetic
Medicine, Department of Medicine, University of Miami. Karl serves
as Medical consultant to the corporation and has been intimately
involved with the development of the product. Karl's long list of
honors, awards, appointments and publications make him one of the
best known and most widely regarded practitioners of genetic
medicine and genetics in our country.

What is included in DNA
LifePrint™ Kit?
The DNA LifePrint™ Kit contains all
of the elements necessary to provide the DNA sample which can be
retained by the individual Included in the kits is a vapor proof
storage vile containing the fixative solution, sterile cotton swabs,
sanitary glove, one storage envelope , instructions and important
literature.

How long does it take to
obtain a DNA sample using DNA LifePrint™?
The entire procedure takes less than
2 minutes.

How does DNA LifePrint™
work?
The DNA is collected by simply
swabbing the inside of one's cheek for several seconds with the swab
provided in the kit. The swab is then inserted into the fixative
solution contained in the kit's vial. The vial is placed in a
specially developed red envelope that filters out ultra violet light
and it is maintained in a safe place, at room temperature, where it
can be preserved for generations.

How long does the DNA
LifePrint™ DNA sample last?
The DNA sample obtained using DNA
LifePrint™ lasts from generation to generation. There is no time
limit for DNA LifePrint™.

What is DNA?
DNA (Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid) is a
genetic blueprint which contains all the hereditary
information/instructions for the structure and function of the
body. DNA is made of a linear sequence of four letters, A, G, C and
T, that "spell out" its information, just as a sequence of the 26
letter alphabet spells out words.
Where is DNA?
DNA is in every cell nucleus. Cells
make up every tissue and organ in the body. The cells that line the
interior of the mouth are the most accessible source of DNA.

How is DNA used to
effectively identify an individual?
Research has proved that DNA is the
definite way to positively identify and individual if the need
arises. The positive ID can be used for a variety of circumstances
including tracing a missing, kidnapped or abducted child. With the
unreliability of footprints, and with fingerprints often being
unreadable, the DNA LifePrint™ brings leading edge DNA technology
into the hands of lay people-this product offers the "fingerprint of
the 21st Century".
How would DNA
LifePrint™ be used in a missing child's case?
DNA LifePrint™ can provide the DNA
needed for comparative analysis with the evidence obtained in
resolving a case. DNA can be obtained by finding perspiration on a
pillow, an eyelash, hairbrush with hair, a used Kleenex, a pacifier
that has been used, or any body fluid. DNA trace evidence verified
by comparing it to a DNA LifePrint™ sample can serve as an immediate
way for authorities to locate and safely return an individual.

Is DNA LifePrint™
effective in providing DNA samples?
Validity studies prove that DNA
LifePrint™ is 100% reliable in obtaining a DNA sample. In fact, the
studies yielded that the least amount of DNA found in a sample was
1,000 nanograms (this probably means the individual put the cotton
swab in their mouth for just a second) and the greatest amount
obtained was 7,800 nanograms. All that is needed to do the analysis
is 3/4 of 1% of 1,000 nanograms.

How is John Walsh
associated with DNA LifePrint™?
John Walsh became involved with DNA
LifePrint™ after becoming friends with Joe Matthews, when Matthews
investigated his son Adam's case. John Walsh claims that if a DNA
LifePrint™ had been available at the time of Adams abduction, it
would have unequivocally solved his case. DNA LifePrint™ is the
only commercial product John Walsh endorses.
